About Jackie
Jackie Lefebvre has been a successful college counselor and independent college consultant for the past 25+ years. Active in education for over 35 years, in addition to serving as a college counselor at some of the best independent schools in the Northeast, she has also served as an English teacher and a debate coach.
Having attended the University of Pennsylvania, earning her BA in Comparative Literature and minoring in Political Science, as well as her MA in English at Boston College, Jackie has additionally taught writing at the college and high school levels. She has taught introductory freshman writing classes at both Boston College and Fordham University, where she took classes towards her PhD. While she was teaching high school English, Jackie was additionally hired by the College Board as an AP English Literature exam reader, grading student essays for several years. Helping students find their voice both through their self-reflection and in their essays has been a labor of love for her. Jackie additionally served as a college counselor with the Summerfuel program, working with international and domestic students on the Columbia, Tufts, and University of California Berkeley campuses.
Jackie attended the Stanley H. King Counseling Institute, focusing on adolescent development, and was additionally awarded a Summer Fellowship in Independent School Leadership through the Peabody School at Vanderbilt University. She has visited hundreds of colleges and universities throughout the world to help students gauge their best personal fit. She has run both in-person and virtual college fairs, as well as held evening Case Study events. Her writing has been published in Polytext, Margins, The Irish Literary Supplement, and The Day Magazine.
