Jackie offers a full range of services, allowing students to gain successful outcomes. Here are some of the tasks on which Jackie has worked with students:
Early mentoring for 9th and 10th graders
Work with students throughout their high school career.
Evaluate transcripts and courses, guiding students and making suggestions where appropriate.
Evaluate activities and summer programming opportunities.
Create an SAT/ACT testing strategy.
Utilize YouScience to help guide students towards appropriate careers and majors.
Help students apply to various summer programs and internships, helping to edit essays and applications.
Help students develop resumes, both for summer opportunities and for college applications.
Based on student interest and strengths, help create a preliminary college list (with reaches, targets, and safer schools).
Help students exhibit Demonstrated Interest (through touring, online tours and information sessions, answering emails, attending open houses, and other programming).
Help students develop and practice interview skills.
Help students pare down their preliminary list to a final, balanced list of colleges.
Help create an application strategy, using Early Decision, Early Action, Rolling, and Regular Decision programs. Help to maximize strengths. Ensure that students apply to a full range of colleges.
Help students complete the Common App (and other application platforms if necessary, such as those in the University of California system).
Help students with International Applications, using the UCAS, Minerva, and other international platforms.
Help students articulate and highlight their own story.
Help students craft the Common App essay (with multiple drafts).
Help students complete each college's application. (along with supplemental college essays).
Help students with crafting supplemental college essays, making sure that they are all clean, well-written, and edited.
Make sure that students stay on track with all deadlines.
Help students with up to 25 applications (UC Universities all count as 1).
Help students fill out the Self-Reported Student Record (SSAR) (if necessary).
Make sure that students complete high school tasks by each school's deadline (such as requesting that materials be sent by early deadlines).
Make sure that students ask for recommendations in a timely manner.
If necessary for performing or visual arts students, help students keep track of art assignments/portfolios for admissions.
Help guide performing arts students with audition Prescreening deadlines for conservatories.
Help students with managing SlideRoom (or other platforms) for visual arts portfolios.
If necessary for athletes interested in recruitment, help students with contacting college coaches and creating athletic film.
If deferred or waitlisted, help students with Letters of Continued Interest.
Help students with selecting the best/most affordable school.
If necessary, help students with scholarship applications/essays.
If necessary, help students with gaining admission to Post Graduate (PG programs).
If necessary, help students with taking a Gap Year.
If necessary, help students with transfer admissions.
For specialized art students:
Advice with Studio Art/Performing Arts Conservatories
Help students stay organized with portfolios
Help students stay on task with pre-screenings and early deadlines
For recruited athletes:
Offer early support to students hoping to be recruited with an eye towards NCAA or NAIA athletic recruiting.
Based on coach input, help students with selecting appropriate college division
Help students contact college coaches for recruiting and showcases
Help students navigate NCAA recruiting guidelines, including with course selection
Jackie works with students both nationwide and globally using Zoom, Google Suite, and other tools. She specializes in building face to face relationships in New England States, such as within Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. She has worked with students in the following towns:
Massachusetts: Sudbury, Stow, Concord, Hudson, Holden, Worcester, Shrewsbury, Westborough, Northborough, Southborough, Barnstable, Hyannis, Cotuit, Falmouth, Sandwich, Sturbridge
